Double Dragon Arcade PCB – Audio Working!

When I first tried the Double Dragon arcade PCB, generously gifted by Pinge, the audio was very low and very noisy. I had no idea what was wrong with it so I ordered an amplified chip and planned to replace the one on board when I got the time.

A few days ago something was brought to my attention via an unrelated arcade PCB discussion and the -5V power line was mentioned. The ATX connector I use for simplicity to connect the PSU I have to the Supergun (the device that connects to arcade boards and allows connection to a more adaptable audio/video/input system) had no -5V connector so today I added a wire from the -5V pin on the PSU to the Supergun.

IT WORKED!

The gameplay is me trying to remember how to play but that’s not the point of this post. The audio works now, and that’s the point! I now have 4 fully working arcade PCBs.
