Finally the good weather is back!
As we knew this was coming, the pool was prepared for filling during the week by the younger generation while I was at work. I started the pool filling properly yesterday so it was ready for me to treat when I got home. I did this and the pool is now ready for use. I’m not fully happy with it though as I really needed more time to make sure all the wrinkles were out while filling and there is one non-sharp lump I have to deal with so it will need draining and refilling again once this current hot period is over.
As for the rest of the garden, the dogs basically destroyed the fresh turf that was laid last year so I have a stop gap solution until I get afford to get it all done properly next year with dog friendly AstroTurf. It’s not as good as I want it it’s better than I expected so that’s a happy me for now!
