Since the last update we’ve had the driest summer I remember since 1976 and it’s still continuing. I do remember by now we were using stand-pipes for water and the River Taff was bone dry and while we should be conserving water we’re not desperate here yet. The warm, dry weather looks to continue so how long this will last is anyone’s guess.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Keeping the pool clear is becoming a challenge and I think I’ve found out why. I’ve been using stabilised chlorine granules and I’ve recently found out that while this is fine in the short term, the stabiliser (cyanuric acid – CYA) builds up and stops the chlorine from being effective. I do not want to completely drain the pool for obvious reasons so I’ve ordered some liquid chlorine and will just partially drain as little as I can to dilute the CYA so the chlorine can once again do its job. I’ve finally got around to ordering some more filament so might even get a chance to continue with the desktop arcade and a new project, a controller for the arcade setup that can easily be switched between 4-way and 8-way, Mr.Do! really doesn’t work well with an 8-way controller. On that subject I have done a ROM swap on the PCB and now I have Mr.Do! Fixed version, with the modification being completely reversible of course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I’ve not really been posting much of anything I want to keep on social media and that will continue. Anything I do want to keep will still end up here, no matter now long it takes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
